You can play many mobile games on a Mac with an Apple M1 chip or later, straight from the Mac App Store. Kingshot, Whiteout Survival and Rise of Kingdoms all list Mac support. The BoostBot bot does not run on macOS, so to bot your game from a Mac you use a Bot Server in our cloud or Farm for Me.
To play, install the game from the Mac App Store on an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 11 or later. To bot, rent a Bot Server and control it from your Mac with Microsoft’s remote desktop app. LDPlayer, the emulator our bot uses, has no Mac version.
Can you play mobile strategy games on a Mac?
Yes, on a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later). These Macs run many iPhone and iPad apps, and the App Store marks the ones that work with a “Designed for iPhone” or “Designed for iPad” label.
| Game | Mac requirement on its App Store listing | Developer |
|---|---|---|
| Kingshot | macOS 11.0 or later, Apple M1 chip or later | Century Games |
| Whiteout Survival | macOS 11.0 or later, Apple M1 chip or later | Century Games |
| Rise of Kingdoms | macOS 11.0 or later, Apple M1 chip or later | LilithGame |
Not every game is there. Developers can choose to keep an iPhone app off Macs, and older Intel Macs cannot run iPhone apps at all. Search the Mac App Store for your game before you plan around it.
How do you install a mobile game on a Mac?
Through the Mac App Store, the same way you install any Mac app. It takes a few minutes.
- Open the App Store. Search for your game, and choose iPhone and iPad apps if the results split them out.
- Check the listing. Look for the “Designed for iPhone” or “Designed for iPad” label and the Mac line under Compatibility.
- Install and sign in. Log in to the same game account you use on your phone so your progress loads.
- Turn on touch alternatives. Open the app’s menu, then Settings. Hold the Option key to use your trackpad as a virtual touch screen.
For game-by-game steps, see how to play Kingshot on PC and Mac.
Is there LDPlayer for Mac?
No. LDPlayer and MEmu are Windows downloads only, and ldplayer.net asks you to visit from a PC to get the emulator.
Two Android emulators do offer Mac apps. NoxPlayer has a Mac version on bignox.com, and BlueStacks Air is built for Apple silicon Macs. Neither runs the BoostBot bot on a Mac, because the bot itself is Windows only, and BlueStacks does not work with it on any system. Our best Android emulator guide compares the four big emulators on Windows.
Can BoostBot run on a Mac?
No. The BoostBot app runs on a Windows 10 or 11 PC, inside LDPlayer, Nox or MEmu. There is no Mac, iPhone or Android app.
Running Windows inside a virtual machine such as Parallels is not a fix either. Virtual machines usually cannot run the Android emulator the bot needs, and we support Windows 10 and 11 on a normal PC only. Boot Camp, which installs Windows directly, exists only on older Intel Macs. We have not confirmed BoostBot on a Boot Camp setup, so ask in our Discord before you buy for one.
How do you bot your game from a Mac?
Rent a Bot Server. It is a Windows machine in our cloud that runs the bot and the emulators, and you control it from your Mac. The bot licence is included.
- Buy a Bot Server for your game. It covers 36 games, with up to 3 emulators and 60 accounts.
- Install the remote desktop app. Get Microsoft’s Remote Desktop from the Mac App Store. Microsoft now lists it as Windows App.
- Connect. Enter the IP address, username and password from your order email.
- Set up the bot. Pick your game and tasks on the server, then close the window. The server keeps running when your Mac sleeps.
If you would rather not touch a bot, Farm for Me has our team run your farm accounts, in 34 games. It is for farm accounts only, not the account you play. Some games, such as Last War: Survival, sell only these two plans: see the Last War bot page. Compare both plans on our pricing page, or read which BoostBot plan is right for you.
Botting breaks most games’ terms of service, and no bot can promise no ban. Read the bot safety guide and never bot the account you care most about.
How do you make mobile games run smoother on a MacBook?
Play in full screen so macOS turns on Game Mode, and close what you do not need.
- Go full screen. On macOS Sonoma 14 or later, Game Mode turns on by itself when a game that supports full screen fills the display. It gives the game top priority on the CPU and GPU.
- Quit heavy apps. Open Activity Monitor, sort by CPU or Memory, and close what you are not using.

Not iPhone apps, which need Apple silicon. On an Intel Mac you would need an Android emulator with a Mac version, or Windows through Boot Camp.
Does BoostBot have a Mac version?
No. The bot runs on Windows 10 or 11 only. From a Mac, use a Bot Server or Farm for Me.
Does my Mac need to stay on while a Bot Server runs?
No. The bot and the emulators run on our server, so you can close the remote desktop window or shut the Mac.
