Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out what you may and may not do with anything BoostBot.org (“BoostBot”, “we”, “us”, “our”) supplies: the website, the desktop app and launcher, any bot module, any server we rent to you, our Discord server, our guides and trackers, and our support channels.
It forms part of the Terms of Service and expands Section 7 of those Terms. Breaking this policy is a breach of contract, and Section 8 below explains what we do about it.
1. Who this applies to
1.1 Everyone who uses anything we supply, whether they paid for it or not.
1.2 Anyone you let use your account, your licence, or your server. You are responsible for what they do.
2. Your account and your licence
2.1 One person, one account. Do not create a second account to dodge a suspension, a ban, or a refund decision.
2.2 Keep your credentials to yourself. Do not sell, rent, lend, or share your licence, your launcher key, or your server access.
2.3 Do not use a licence for anyone other than the buyer named on the order, unless the order says otherwise.
2.4 Tell us at once if you think someone else has your credentials.
2.5 Do not give false information when you buy, and do not use a payment method you are not entitled to use.
3. The software
3.1 Do not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or try to derive the source code of the software, except to the extent the law gives you that right and you have asked us first.
3.2 Do not crack, patch, tamper with, or work around any licence check, activation, update, or protection in the software.
3.3 Do not distribute, upload, mirror, or publish our installers, our binaries, or any part of them. That includes posting a build to a forum, a file host, a torrent, or a Discord server.
3.4 Do not build a competing product from our software, our scripts, or our configuration files.
3.5 Do not run the software on an account that is not yours, or on a device you do not have the right to use.
3.6 Do not use the software against any game, service, or system other than the games we support.
4. Servers and hosted services
Where we rent you a server, or run a bot for you, these rules apply to everything on that machine.
4.1 Do not use it to send spam, to run a mail relay, or to send bulk messages of any kind.
4.2 Do not use it to scan, probe, flood, or attack any network or host, and do not take part in a denial of service attack.
4.3 Do not use it to mine cryptocurrency, to run a torrent client or tracker, or to host a file sharing service.
4.4 Do not use it to host or distribute malware, ransomware, a botnet controller, a phishing page, or stolen data.
4.5 Do not use it to store or share unlawful material, including material that sexually exploits a minor.
4.6 Do not resell the server, or any share of it, to a third party.
4.7 Do not use more resource than your plan allows, in a way that degrades the machine for anyone else.
4.8 Our hosting providers have their own acceptable use rules, and those rules apply to you as well. Where a provider requires an action, we act on it.
5. Games and game accounts
5.1 Only run the software against a game account you own or are authorised to use.
5.2 Do not buy, sell, trade, or transfer stolen game accounts, stolen credentials, stolen payment instruments, or stolen in-game goods, through us, in our Discord, or with anything we supply.
5.3 Do not use our software or our services to take another player’s account, to harass another player, or to break a law in your country or in theirs.
5.4 Most game publishers forbid automation. That is a risk you accept, and the Disclaimer sets it out in full. This policy does not make automation lawful or permitted anywhere it is not.
6. Our site, our data, and our community
6.1 Do not scrape, mirror, or bulk-copy our site, our guides, our gift-code trackers, or our databases, and do not use them to train a machine learning model, without our written consent.
6.2 Do not resell access to our Discord, our guides, our trackers, or our support team.
6.3 Do not impersonate BoostBot, our staff, or another user, and do not register domains, handles, or pages that suggest you are us.
6.4 Do not post content that is unlawful, hateful, defamatory, sexual in a way that involves minors, or that infringes someone else’s rights. The DMCA and Copyright Policy covers infringement claims.
6.5 Do not spam our Discord or our support channels, do not advertise a competing product there, and do not post cracked software or shared licence keys.
6.6 Be civil to our staff and to other members. Abuse, threats, and harassment end an account.
6.7 Do not post another person’s private information without their consent.
7. Fraud, payments, and sanctions
7.1 Do not use a stolen or unauthorised card, and do not chargeback a payment you know you owe. A dispute goes to support first, and Section 14 of the Terms of Service covers chargebacks.
7.2 Do not use our services to launder money or to move the proceeds of crime.
7.3 Sanctions and export control. You must not use, buy, download, or pay for anything we supply if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or a national of a country or region under a comprehensive trade embargo, or if you appear on, or are owned or controlled by a person on, any restricted party or sanctions list maintained by a competent authority. You must not export, re-export, or transfer anything we supply to any person, country, or end use that a sanctions or export control law prohibits. We refuse, cancel, or terminate orders where we reasonably believe a sanction applies, without refund and without liability. Section 24 of the Terms of Service sets out the full position.
7.4 Tell us the truth about your location and your billing country. Using a proxy or a false address to get around Section 7.3 is a serious breach.
8. What we do about a breach
8.1 What we do depends on what happened. In rough order: a warning, removal of the content, a feature limit, a suspension, termination of the account, forfeiture of any balance, and a report to the police or another authority.
8.2 We may act immediately and without warning where the breach is serious, where it puts another customer at risk, where it exposes us to legal liability, or where a provider, a processor, or an authority requires it.
8.3 We may investigate a suspected breach, and we may preserve and review logs, server contents, and messages for that purpose.
8.4 Termination for a breach of this policy does not earn a refund. The Refund Policy sets out the grounds that do.
8.5 Nothing in this section limits any other right or remedy we have.
9. Reporting a problem
9.1 Report abuse, a security issue, or a breach of this policy to support@boostbot.org with the detail we need to act: what happened, where, and when.
9.2 Report a security vulnerability privately and give us a reasonable time to fix it before you publish. Do not test on live customer data, do not access another person’s account, and do not run a denial of service test.
10. Changes
10.1 We may change this policy. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use anything we supply after a change means you accept it.
