Type what is going wrong, or the error message you see. Most problems have a fix on this page.
BoostBot will not open or install
"A Java Exception has occurred"
Java is missing, or Windows opened the file with the wrong program. Install both the Java JRE and JDK 25. Then right-click BoostBotLauncher.jar, choose Open with, and pick Java (TM) SE Binary. Do not extract the .jar.
Java (TM) SE Binary is not in the Open with list
Java is not installed yet. Install both the JRE and JDK 25, then try Open with again.
"Child process exited with code 1"
Uninstall BoostBot (Control Panel, Apps, Uninstall). Restart your PC so no BoostBot process is running, download the launcher again, and reinstall.
Stuck downloading or extracting files
Use Windows 10 or 11, set the Windows language to English, and check your Windows username has English letters only. If it does not, install the bot under a new Windows user. Then delete your BoostBot folder and run it again.
The bot does not start
The download usually did not finish. Delete the folder C:/Users/YOUR-USER/boostbot/ and run BoostBot again.
Does BoostBot work on a Mac, iPhone or Android?
No. It runs on a Windows 10 or 11 PC. Without one, use a Bot Server (our cloud PC, controlled from any device) or Farm for Me.
Emulator problems
Which emulator should I use?
LDPlayer 9 is recommended. Nox and MEmu also work. BlueStacks does not, and Sandboxie is not an emulator. Start with one emulator instance.
"Emulator not found"
Check the right emulator is selected in the bot's Settings, save, and restart BoostBot. Still there? End every emulator process in Task Manager, then press Fix emulators in the My Bots tab. On LDPlayer you can also set Other settings, ADB Debugging, Open local connection. A corrupt instance: create a new one and run Fix emulators.
Snapshot or event errors
The connection to the emulator broke, often when CPU hits 100%. Run fewer emulators at once, do not mix emulator brands at the same time, close other programs that use ADB, and check antivirus or firewall is not blocking the emulator. Restart the bot and emulator if it does not reconnect.
My PC is slow, or I want to run more emulators
Press Fix emulators: it sets each emulator to 2 cores and 2 GB. How many you can run at once depends on your RAM and storage. Virtual machines usually cannot run emulators.
LDPlayer keeps resetting its settings
A known LDPlayer glitch. Set the emulator's config file to read-only. It is in C:/LDPlayer/LDPlayer9/vms/config/.
"Port 12345 in use by another program"
Another program holds the port the bot uses to reach the emulator. In Command Prompt run netstat -ano | find "12345". The last number is the process ID: look it up in Task Manager, or run tasklist /svc /FI "PID eq 20496" with your ID, and close that program.
The bot runs but does nothing
The game opens but the bot does nothing
Check the account meets the requirements shown when you picked the game, the in-game tutorial is finished, and the game language is English. Then read the Logs tab: the bot prints what it is trying to do.
What does my game account need?
English game language and a finished in-game tutorial, usually level 4 to 6. Some scripts need their building first, such as troop training. Some games have an Account Configuration script that sets things up for you.
Rise of Kingdoms, Call of Dragons or Primitive Era: the bot misses buildings
These games need a Building Layout. Return to your base, open the Building Layout tab, press Refresh screenshot with live emulator image, pick Building Slot #, click the building on the screenshot, repeat, then save the layout and select it in the Building Layout script.
"Login Error Code -2000"
A connection problem between you and the game's login server. Check your internet, VPN, proxy, airplane mode and DNS (Google DNS can help). Sometimes waiting a little and trying again is enough.
"Login Error Getting the Server Message"
The game's bot protection saw unusual activity and raised a captcha in the background. With a dynamic IP, restart your router to change it. On a VPN, turn it off or restart it.
Captchas in Rise of Kingdoms or Call of Dragons
The bot solves them through 2Captcha, about $0.0012 per attempt paid to 2Captcha. Make a 2Captcha account, add funds, paste its API key into BoostBot's Human Verification section, and press Save Key.
Accounts, more bots, schedules
How do I run more than one account?
Give each account its own emulator instance, then tick those emulators in your BoostBot instance (cog, Emulators). The bot finishes its tasks on one, closes it and opens the next. Some games also have an Accounts table that switches characters inside the game.
How do I run several bots at the same time?
Create one BoostBot instance per group of emulators in My Bots, each with at least one emulator, then press Play on each. Let each instance start fully before starting the next.
Different settings for different accounts
Save your script settings to a file in the Scripts tab, then pick that settings file next to each emulator in the Emulators tab.
Only run the bot at certain hours, or take breaks
Open your instance's cog, Other Settings: Operational Hours limits when it runs, and Break After Scripts sets breaks.
The bot skipped one of my accounts
With the Accounts table, the bot logs a warning with the closest name it found. Change your entry to match what it saw, and it will find it next run.
How do I lower the ban risk?
The risk is mainly in Rise of Kingdoms and Call of Dragons. Vary settings per account, use cooldowns and breaks, do not bot your main, give farms unique names and layouts, do not cluster bases, shuffle script order, and do not discuss botting in game.
Bot Server and Farm for Me
How do I connect to my Bot Server from a PC?
Open Remote Desktop Connection from the Start menu and enter the IP, username and password from your email.
How do I connect from a phone or Mac?
Install Microsoft Remote Desktop from your app store and enter the same IP, username and password from your email.
I bought Farm for Me. What now?
Join Discord and open a ticket with your order ID. Send the farm-account logins (unless you bought the accounts from us) and the settings you want. Never post logins anywhere else.
Can Farm for Me run my main account?
No. Farm accounts only: the service cycles each account every 1 to 2 hours, so you cannot play it yourself while it runs. No farm accounts yet? Buy them first, then add Farm for Me when the logins arrive.
Plans, refunds and payment
Is there a free version?
Yes. The Windows bot is free for every game it supports, with limited features. Tasks with a crown icon need Premium.
How do I cancel?
Log in and open My Account, Subscriptions, then cancel the plan. It stops renewing.
Can I get a refund?
Premium has a 24-hour money-back guarantee from payment, even if activated or used. After that: first payment and Lifetime, 14 days if unused and unactivated; renewals, 14 days only if unused since the charge.
Which payment methods do you take?
Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex and most local networks), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm, Alipay, WeChat Pay, and local bank methods such as iDEAL and Bancontact. PayPal is not accepted.
