One thing to know before you start pasting: this game runs one new code a week, and each one dies after about seven days. The two codes at the top of that table are the current ones. Everything below them is a long-standing code that has stayed redeemable for months. If you have just come from a page listing 60 or 150 working codes, that list is mostly a graveyard, and the next section shows exactly how we know.

How Often Does The Walking Dead: Survivors Release New Codes?

Once a week, like clockwork, and this is the single most useful fact about codes in this game. Galaxy Play issues one eight-character code (the TWD plus five or six characters kind) and it stays live for about seven days before the next one replaces it.

That is not a guess. Pocket Gamer’s expired list carries dated expiry dates for 129 of these codes, running from July 2021 to July 2026. We parsed the whole run and measured the gap between each code’s expiry and the one before it: 105 of the 128 gaps are exactly seven days. Almost all of the rest are fourteen, which is a week the tracker missed rather than a week the game skipped. Two of those gaps get filled exactly by codes that only the aggregator sites carry (TWDCR8ZH for the July 5 slot, TWDSGJJC for July 19), which confirms both the weekly rhythm and that nothing was skipped.

Five years, one code a week, no real breaks. So the practical answer to “how many The Walking Dead: Survivors codes are working right now?” is roughly one, plus the handful of word codes that never got an expiry date. Any page showing you a hundred is showing you five years of history with the dates filed off.

Why Do Most The Walking Dead: Survivors Code Lists Not Work?

Because most of them never delete anything. A weekly code that expires gets left in the working column, and after five years of that you get a list of 150 codes where two work.

Two of the biggest lists for this game are the same list. Try Hard Guides and ucngame publish codes in identical order, down to the position of a code called TWDS5th2026 that nobody else has ever heard of, so treating them as two sources that agree is a mistake. Both of them currently sell TWDGF3DY as working. It expired on June 7. Both sell TWDR835B, which expired in November 2025.

Alucare is in the same position against Pocket Gamer: same codes, same order, same “(new)” tags, same reward text. It reads like a second opinion and it is a copy.

Even our primary source slips. Pocket Gamer lists TWD48WT5 as an active code and prints “expires July 26th” next to it, on a page it last refreshed on July 19. Both statements cannot be true today, so that code is in our expired table.

• Check the shape of the code. An eight-character TWD code that is more than a week old is dead, whatever the page says.
• Distrust any list without an expired section. If nothing ever expires in a game that expires a code every week, nothing is being checked.
• Two sites with identical ordering are one site. Agreement between copies is not verification.

New codes come out of the game’s own channels rather than the tracker sites, so the tracker sites are always a few days behind. Galaxy Play posts the weekly code to the official The Walking Dead: Survivors site and its Facebook, X, Instagram and Discord channels, usually alongside an event. • Redeem the weekly code the day you see it. It has about seven days of life and you have no way to know which day of the seven you are on.
