On August 2, 2026 Pocket Gamer listed 37 codes as working that Pocket Tactics, reading the game a day earlier, listed as expired. The table above holds only codes both of them call live. The disputed 37 are in the expired table at the bottom with that noted, so you can try them if you want to, knowing what you are spending a tap on.

If one of these is refused, it has almost certainly been retired since the list that carries it was last read. That is the normal life of a Tacticus code, and it is why this page separates the confirmed set from the rest instead of printing 400 codes and calling them all working.

Do You Need to Unlock Code Redemption in Tacticus?

Yes, and this is the single most common reason a new player thinks a working code is broken. Code redemption unlocks after you finish the first 15 battle stages. Before that the box either is not there or will not take anything, no matter how carefully you type.

That gate matters for the biggest codes on this page. Shard rewards are the reason to redeem at all in this game, and a fresh account that burns its way through the campaign to reach stage 15 will find several of them still live. Older codes named for events in 2024 and 2025 will not be.

Why Do the Two Big Tacticus Lists Disagree on 37 Codes?

Because they retire codes on different evidence. Snowprint hands out codes through creator collaborations, community milestones and Discord announcements at a rate few games match, and almost none of them carry a published expiry date. So one tracker drops a code when redemption starts failing and the other keeps it until someone reports it dead, and the two lists drift apart by dozens of entries.

The disagreement is not random. It concentrates in the old evergreen codes, the ones every guide has carried for two years: WARHAMMER, TACTICIAN, JOINTHEBATTLE, SUMMON, CAPS and the rest of that vintage. Pocket Gamer still lists them as working. Pocket Tactics has moved all of them to expired. We treat that class as dead here, because a code with two years of circulation and no expiry date behind it is far more likely to have been retired quietly than to have survived.

There is one more trap worth naming: case. The two lists print the same Ahriman code differently, AHRIMAN5k on one page and AHRIMAN5K on the other. Tacticus codes are case-sensitive, so one of those two is going to fail. If the first spelling is refused, try the other before writing the code off.

Snowprint announces Tacticus codes in the official Tacticus Discord first, then through creator collaborations on YouTube and Twitch and the game’s own social posts. Codes attached to a creator stream are the shortest-lived, often days, while the ones tied to a content update run longer. Almost none of them carry a published expiry, which is exactly why the big lists drift apart. Once your codes are in, a few things make the rewards go further:

• Work down the confirmed table first. Those 30 codes have two independent lists behind them, so your redeem attempts are going somewhere.
• Spend the shard codes on the characters you are actually building. Ten shards is a real fraction of an unlock, and shards for a character you will never field are worth nothing at all.
• Try both spellings when a code mixes case, starting with the one printed here. AHRIMAN5k and ANALYTICS8k both carry a lowercase k that is easy to lose when you retype from memory.
• Do not spend an evening on the disputed 37 in the expired table. They are the two-year-old evergreen codes, and the tracker that tests them most recently calls all of them dead.
• Watch the Discord rather than the code videos. Snowprint announces there first, and the codes with the biggest shard payouts are usually gone before a video about them is uploaded.
