Refining improves a general’s gear with additional stat buffs. Every attempt spends Refining Stones and Gold, so choosing the right gear, stat targets and timing protects a limited resource. What Does Refining Actually Do to Your Gear?
Refining adds stat buffs to a general’s gear. The available stat categories depend on the gear piece, which means a weapon and helmet cannot refine the same collection of bonuses.
Each piece has 4 refine slots. Those slots let one item carry several buffs from its allowed categories. Decide which stats support the general’s job before spending stones, especially when random rolls can pull the piece away from your intended build.
Every refinement costs Refining Stones plus Gold. Repeated attempts can consume stones quickly, so the useful question is whether the result helps the specific build you are making.
Keep the general’s purpose clear while choosing refinements. A combat build, gathering build and subordinate-city build need different bonuses, even when they use the same gear slots.
Which Stat Does Each Piece of Gear Refine?

Use the table to narrow your target before you start. If a general needs attack, focus on the gear pieces that can produce attack buffs. If the job depends on gathering speed or subordinate-city bonuses, check which pieces can roll those stats and refine those pieces first.
A focused target also makes random results easier to judge. Keep refinements that support the chosen role and avoid spending stones without a clear result in mind.
Where Do You Get Refining Stones?
Boss fights drop Refining Stones across many difficulty levels. Regular boss activity can therefore build a supply while you work on other rewards.
Several reward chests also contain stones. These include Lucky Boxes, tiered monster chests and Ymir chests. Check the contents of chest rewards instead of assuming every stone must come directly from a boss drop.
Alliance gifts provide another source. Active alliance play can add stones alongside the rewards collected from boss fights and chests.
The black market, event rewards and packages can also supply Refining Stones. Event rewards are especially useful because they can support the same refining cycle in which you plan to spend your existing stones.

What Is the Super Refining Event, and Why Wait for It?
The Super Refining Event is a rotating event found in the Valuable Events tab. It usually lasts about 6 days, giving players a defined window for planned refining.
During the event, spending 1 Refining Stone converts into 1 Event Point. The same refinement still improves gear, but the event also credits the stone toward its reward system.
Players can earn milestone rewards, use the event shop and compete for Top 10 or Top 50 ranking rewards. The available reward paths give every stone spent during the window extra event value.
Refining outside the event gives up that free point value. Save stones between event windows, prepare your target gear and spend after the Super Refining Event appears in the Valuable Events tab.
Before spending, review the gear piece and the stats it can refine. This keeps the event from turning into a series of random attempts made only to generate points.
