How the Super Refinement Cost Tiers Work
The Golden Furnace charges by how many refines you have already done this week. You get 100 refines a week and the counter resets on Monday. The price ladder:

Two things follow from that table. The first 20 refines are the cheapest Tempered you will ever get, at 20 Truegold each. And refines 81 to 100 cost eight times as much as refines 1 to 20 for a yield that is only sometimes better. If you are short on Truegold, the top of the ladder is where to stop.
There is also a daily discount that most guides bury: the first refine of each day costs half. Spreading refines across all seven days instead of doing them in one sitting is free money, which is why the calculator asks how many days you log in.

Why the Tempered Yield Is a Range, Not a Number
Every refine rolls a random amount inside its tier. A refine in the 81 to 100 band pays anywhere from 3 to 12 Tempered. Over a full week that spread compounds: 100 refines pays between 240 and 660 Tempered for the same 9,200 Truegold.
That is why this calculator gives you a range and no average. We do not know how the game distributes rolls inside a band, so an average would be a guess dressed up as a number. Plan against the low end and treat a good week as a bonus.
How to Get the Most Tempered per Truegold
- Do your 20 cheap refines every week before anything else. At 20 Truegold each they are the best rate in the game.
- Log in all seven days and take the half-price refine each time.
- Do not touch the Furnace at all before TG5. You need no Tempered until then, and Truegold spent refining is Truegold not spent upgrading.
- Stop at the band where the price stops being worth it to you. Most free players stop after refine 40.
- Play the Golden Glaive event, which pays Tempered directly and costs you no Truegold.
What This Calculator Does Not Cover
It does not price building upgrades. Per-stage Truegold costs differ by building and by stage, and the community databases do not agree closely enough for us to put a number in your hands and call it exact.
