Kingshot Truegold Guide: How to Get It and Where to Spend It
Truegold is the wall every late-game Kingshot player hits. Once your buildings reach level 30, normal resources stop mattering and every further upgrade demands this one scarce material, roughly 30,000 of it to take your core buildings through TG8. This guide covers what Truegold does, every place you can get it, what the upgrades cost, and how to farm it without spending.
What Is Truegold in Kingshot?
Truegold is the late-game upgrade resource that takes buildings past level 30. Those levels are called Truegold tiers. TG1 through TG10, and each tier is split into 5 sub-stages. The system unlocks once your state is around 70 days old, and from that point on, Town Center, Embassy, Command Center, Infirmary, Barracks, Range, and Stable all upgrade with Truegold instead of bread, wood, stone, and iron alone. As always, your Town Center leads: pushing it into a new TG tier is what unlocks that tier for every other building.
From TG5 onward a second material joins in: Tempered Truegold, refined from regular Truegold in the Golden Furnace. Late tiers need both, and Tempered is the tighter bottleneck.
How Do You Get Truegold?
Every known free source:
| Source | What you get |
|---|---|
| Event rewards (Armament Competition, Strongest Governor, and similar) | The largest free payouts, check every event’s reward tab |
| Watchtower intel missions and beast hunts | Small amounts per mission, scaling up as your kingdom ages |
| Daily mission activity chests | Steady trickle for full completion |
| Truegold Crucible (unlocks around TG4-TG5) | Converts bread, wood, stone, and iron into a random amount of Truegold |
| Paid packs | Real money |
The pattern to notice: every free source rewards showing up daily. Events, intel missions, and daily chests all pay out for routine activity, and the Crucible turns the basic resources you gather every day into Truegold. There is no single jackpot, the players sitting on 30,000 Truegold got there through months of unbroken dailies.
What Do Truegold Upgrades Cost?
Exact costs vary by building and stage, but the community databases agree on the scale. Taking the Town Center alone from level 30 through TG10 runs about 11,600 Truegold plus 870 Tempered Truegold. Taking the full core building set through TG8 costs roughly 30,000 Truegold, with around 900 Tempered across TG5-TG8. Costs climb steeply: a TG1 tier that costs your Town Center about 130 Truegold per stage becomes 300-plus per stage by TG4, and the Tempered requirement roughly doubles every couple of tiers after it appears.
Each Town Center tier also has prerequisites, typically your Embassy plus one troop building (Barracks, Range, or Stable, rotating by tier) already at that same TG level. So you cannot rush the Town Center and ignore the rest; the prerequisites drag your whole base up with it, which is where most of the 30,000 goes.
How Does Tempered Truegold Refining Work?
The Golden Furnace converts Truegold into Tempered Truegold, and the exchange rate worsens as you use it. Each refining attempt costs more than the last:
| Attempts | Truegold cost per attempt | Tempered yield |
|---|---|---|
| 1-20 | 20 | 1-3 |
| 21-40 | 50 | 2-3 |
| 41-60 | 100 | 3-6 |
| 61-80 | 130 | 3-9 |
| 81-100 | 160 | 3-12 |
The first 20 attempts are by far the cheapest Tempered you will ever buy, use them every reset. The Golden Glaive event also pays out Tempered directly, and at late tiers it is worth more to you than almost any other event reward.
What Are T11 Truegold Troops and How Do You Unlock Them?
Truegold’s endgame is the War Academy, which unlocks T11 troops. Truegold Infantry, Truegold Archers, and Truegold Cavalry. The requirements are steep:
- Your state must be at least 220 days old with Town Center level 30+ to build the War Academy.
- The War Academy itself must reach TG5, about 1,135 Truegold cumulative.
- Each troop type needs its research branch pushed to the end, with the key nodes at level 12, before the final unlock node, which costs 2,200 Truegold Dust and 1 million Gold.
Truegold Dust comes from redeeming Truegold and Gold inside the War Academy, so T11 is ultimately one more tax on the same resource. Budget for it: if your plan is T11 cavalry, stop spreading Truegold across side buildings once TG5 prerequisites are met and bank the surplus for research.
How Do You Farm Truegold Faster as a Free Player?
- Finish your daily chests every single day. It is the only source you fully control, and missed days never come back.
- Clear watchtower intel and beast hunts daily. The per-mission amounts look small but scale with kingdom age and compound over months.
- Play every Truegold event. Armament Competition and Strongest Governor pay multiples of what dailies give, reserve speedups and stamina for event windows.
- Overfeed the Crucible. Once it unlocks, the Crucible eats as much bread, wood, stone, and iron as you can gather. Extra farm accounts gathering for your main turn dead resource tiles into Truegold.
- Refine the cheap Furnace attempts every reset before spending Truegold on anything else.
⚔️ Every Truegold source above rewards daily grind, dailies, intel missions, event points, and a Crucible that eats gathered resources. The Kingshot bot does that grind for you: it runs dailies, gathering, and events 24/7 on unlimited accounts, so the Crucible never goes hungry while you sleep. Try it free, no card needed. Or feed your main faster with pre-leveled Kingshot farm accounts.
What Are the Most Common Truegold Mistakes?
Spreading it across every building at once. Prerequisites already force a minimum spread. Embassy plus one troop building per tier. Anything beyond that dilutes your push. Pick the troop building that matches your march composition and let the others sit.
Refining past the cheap attempts early. Attempt 81-100 Tempered costs eight times what attempt 1-20 does. If you are pre-TG5, you need zero Tempered, do not touch the Furnace at all yet.
Ignoring the Crucible’s appetite. Late-game players stop valuing basic resources because buildings no longer eat them. The Crucible does. Gathering is still profitable at TG6, it just pays in Truegold now, one conversion removed.
Conclusion
Truegold is scarce by design: tens of thousands needed against a daily trickle. Treat it like the currency it is, dailies and intel every day, every event played, cheap Furnace refines banked, and the Crucible fed by nonstop gathering. Do that, and TG tiers that stall other players for a season become a steady climb.
