Step 1: Unlock All Five March Queues
Every march queue is a worker. Going from 3 to 5 queues raises your gathering income by two-thirds:
- 4th march: Town Center 18 plus the Command Tactics research in the Academy’s Growth tree.
- 5th march: the full Command Tactics chain (I-III) plus VIP 6.
Step 2: Use the Right Gathering Heroes
Each of the four Rare (blue) heroes boosts one specific resource, but only if that hero is in the march:

- Hit Level 6+ tiles. Higher-level tiles hold more resources and gather faster. When a tile empties, a fresh one spawns nearby.
- Keep your Town Center inside alliance territory. That’s worth +50-100% gathering speed, and it’s based on where your city sits, not where the tile is.
- Queue long gathers overnight. Four marches on 8-hour gathers before bed means you wake up to full carts every day.
- Keep resources as unopened chests. Gathered (loose) resources can be plundered; resources still in packs can’t. Open them only when you’re about to spend.
Step 5: Farm the Events That Pay
Kingshot runs on a rotating event cycle, and several events literally pay you to gather. During Strongest Governor, the gathering day awards points per unit gathered in the Wilderness. The cap is not equal across resources: a level 15 Storehouse protects roughly 3.2M bread and wood, 640K stone and 160K iron, so iron is the first thing an attacker takes. Spend a big haul before you log off, or keep it under the cap.
